If you are new to, or returning to the Christian faith, then we hope you will find a warm and friendly welcome at Christ Church.
The Christian Faith is more than going to Church on a Sunday – it is about a daily encounter with God and the deepening of our appreciation of the spiritual nature of life.
As Christians, we walk in the footsteps of Christ, seeking to live-out a meaningful expression of His dynamic life, be it at home at work or in our interests. Sunday Worship is where we gather as a community to give thanks to God, to receive from him and to pray for our needs and for the needs of the world.
Each Sunday service is a mix of songs, prayers, words from the Bible and a talk. Twice a month our 10.30am service includes Holy Communion, (generally on the 1st & 4th Sunday) where we remember the saving aspect of Jesus’ life, when he gave his life to save his followers. In Holy Communion we share together by receiving some bread and a sip of wine to connect with his sacrifice, reminding ourselves that we are part of the community of Christ’s followers today.
Our Sunday morning services have something for all ages and children are always included. During the month, children stay in the main Sunday service with their parents on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, while on the remaining Sundays, they have their own time in the church hall called Kidzone. (We take child protection seriously and ensure all our leaders are checked by the Criminal records Bureau before joining the team – we also have a dedicated Child Protection Officer to ensure that children in our care our are being looked after to high standards)
We hope that you find our church community engaging and enriching and that you feel at home with us.
